The first tool I selected to use was from Mr. Wang's PPT about P3TT is zoom. I think that this is a very important tool because it can link big groups of people or classes into a single meeting where you as the educator can control what is happening. Zoom gives you options such as posting surveys, recording the zoom,  and creating breakout rooms. This is very beneficial for those who miss class or cannot come for any given reason. Zoom also prevents people from having to show their faces while allowing the convenience of hopping into a zoom call from anywhere. I think this tool is extremely versatile in terms of being the number one media used by teachers throughout this pandemic. This tool zoom for example connects directly with SAMR by being a perfect substitution to the in-person classroom. Obviously, being in class is more sufficient for learning but zoom does pose as a great alternative. This tool provides opportunities for both teaching and learning by being able to communicate directly with fellow teachers, principals, and students. I think that zoom also connects with Webb's depth of knowledge by working on extended thinking, skills, and concepts, as well as strategic thinking.

  1. Hi Beau,
That is great you chose Zoom. We have so much practice with it from being online for so long. I agree that it is a very important tool to have available in the classroom. The importance of Zoom was really highlighted in the midst of the pandemic. I think creating breakout rooms is one of the best features of Zoom. It gives kids the interaction with their peers they would be missing in class. I agree that Zoom is super versatile since it is so widely used. I agree that Zoom connects to SAMR for the substitution of in person classes. I like how teachers can have their staff meetings on Zoom as well. Great post!

  2. Hi Beau!
Zoom was a great option to write about. Zoom has been used by so many especially during the last few years due to COVID. I think that zoom is pretty easy to guide, as one has to send out a link and others can join. I do agree that zoom is very versatile as you can use it for many different purposes. Those purposes can be breakout rooms, meeting with your class or meeting with other peers. Students can interact with other students or the teacher but using a simple button on zoom to "raise their hand". I like how you went into depth about the purpose and the different ways you can use zoom.
