For this blog entry, I would like to highlight a tool of my own that I have found very interesting in addition to being a great resource for educational development. Mentimeter to me is a very effective tool in terms of being an interactive presentation, enabling every student's voice to be heard, and allowing for class checkups. By this I mean you can do short quizzes, it also has different language options, along with all that this presentation platform has more options than most. This tool is extremely versatile in the way you use it, I would have quizzes or small tests through it in addition to just everyday powerpoints. I think this resource could become a staple point of my future classroom as long as I put in the time to get comfortable with the tool. I believe Mentimeter connects with Webb's depth of knowledge in a variety of ways such as applying, understanding, comprehension, evaluating, and analyzing all sorts of information. SAMR's connection to Mentimeter is through redefinition and modification of information. This tool finds ways in which you can transfer information so every learning style is being utilized while teaching lessons.

  1. Hi Beau,
I like that you chose this tool to analyze because I had never seen it before. It reminds me a lot of Kahoot where the students have a class code to enter and provides an easy and engaging way to either see their prior knowledge, assess them, engage them in the intro part of your lesson as a hook and all throughout a lesson. I have never used this, but from my experience with Ka hoot as a student, this seems like a brilliant way to enhance participation and provide a way to integrate technology advances.
