The third tool I selected to use was from Mr. Wang's PPT about P3TT is PowerPoint. I feel as if this tool has been around forever and that most people are very confident when using it because many teachers have asked students to create PowerPoints for various projects. Powerpoint is a presentation platform where you can use slides of text, images, and videos to show information. This tool also allows for fun animations as well as transitions in between various slides to keep it interesting. The whole concept of PowerPoint is a quite simple tool thus being why I would use it in a future classroom setting. Teachers prefer this tool for students it gives very easy step-by-step directions. Its versatility could improve because it isn't as interactive but like I said above it does have text, images, and video options. I think this tool connects well with T-1 through T-3 by planning lessons, assessing the information, and finally instructing why it is important. This tool aligns with SAMR by being a direct substitute for lectures or teacher lead discussions. Also, I like how PowerPoint is always available for modification you can save it to your computer and be able to make constant adjustments. Powerpoint lastly connects to Webb's depth of knowledge by generating an analysis of presentations, comprehension of what is being taught, and by students creating their own versions using PowerPoint.
Hi Beau,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I agree that Powerpoint is very easy to use, which is why so many teachers use it. I personally prefer Google Slides, but they both accomplish the same thing. It is a great way to present information, that you could also send to students for them to use to review.
