I chose Poll Everywhere from Mr. Wang's assessment tools because I think it is very effective in ways of checking up on students. Poll Everywhere is an app created specifically for teachers and students to ask and answer questions.

Poll Everywhere has many great options that you can use while on the app for example multiple-choice, true or false, short answer, clickable image, and question and answer. This also allows for the number of choices, how many answers or questions you want to add as well.

Ease of Use

Poll Everywhere seems like it would be pretty easy once you get the hang of it but I did notice on the tutorial video that you have to log in online in order to make your polls for the app. This isn't a very extra process but it is different than simply being able to create immediately from the app itself. I do like the idea of students being able to pull it up immediately from the computer and answer the questions at hand. This could be a review, their general opinions, or even a quick quiz option. For the students, it is very simple to use they pull up the app and type in the teacher's name generally then are admitted straight into the task at hand. Poll Everywhere also will provide immediate feedback so the teacher and students alike have immediate feedback. I love this because it would let an educator know if a subject needs more time spent on it.

This tutorial video was very good

Versatility

The ways in which I would use Poll Everywhere in my future classroom would not highlight a ton of versatility outside of the questions being asked. I would definitely incorporate all these examples such as multiple-choice, true or false, short answer, clickable image, and question and answer. But aside from that, I think more of my versatility would come into play on what I use it on. I like having this option to be able to directly ask my questions into the app and have students' feedback from answers within minutes. I think Poll Everywhere has a wide range of ways you use it though and can be versatile in ways such as during PowerPoint, after readings, morning check-ups, and many alternative options. I think I would have to get more comfortable using the app to incorporate it into all these ways.

Likelihood of using it

Poll Everywhere would most likely be a staple of my PowerPoint especially if classrooms ever go back to an online setting. I would want to know students are paying attention to the information at hand as well as learning from it. I do enjoy how quick it is for students to pull up and how it also processes the correct answers and shows how each student did individually. Overall, it is a very interesting tool that would be incorporated in a variety of ways.

Connections to the course

I believe that Poll Everywhere connects to the 7 events and technologies by stimulating or recalling information, providing feedback, and informing learners of the objective. Poll Everywhere is built directly for stimulating and recalling information since that is the best way a teacher could use it.  Poll Everywhere also connects really well with recalling information because it can be used for checkups or quizzes. This ties in directly with informing learners or objectives because over time will use Poll Everywhere students will start to pick out information that you want them to look for. Poll Everywhere connects to the TLC 2 assessing, I like the way it connects with assessing because that is how I envision using it. I would love to know where students are at, what they're thinking, what needs to be revisited. Also, this goes with T1 planning because the teacher highlights what they want the class to address.
